About Me
I am Lisna Oktaviani, a 38-year-old individual from Indonesia. In 2019, my husband and I decided to embark on a new adventure in Australia, seeking new experiences and opportunities. Previously, I worked as a personal assistant for a well-known private company in Indonesia until I received an early retirement package. This transition marked a turning point in our lives, prompting us to pursue our dreams in a new country.
Entrepreneurial Experience:
In Indonesia, my husband and I were the founders of a kindergarten, although our involvement was primarily as shareholders rather than being directly involved in its daily operations. With the goal of expanding our kindergarten business, I decided to further my education in Australia and gain a deeper understanding of the local education system.
Educational Journey:
In 2021, I successfully completed my Diploma in Early Childhood and Care, which provided me with a solid foundation in early childhood education. However, my passion for teaching young children and my desire to enhance my skills led me to continue my education. Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teacher (0–5) degree, aiming to strengthen my knowledge and develop my teaching abilities.
Motivation:
My decision to become an early childhood teacher in Australia stems from my eagerness to explore new horizons, challenge myself professionally, and contribute to the development and education of young children. I am dedicated to expanding my understanding of the Australian education system and fostering a love for learning among early childhood learners.
My Teaching Philosophy
As an attentive and creative early childhood educator, I am passionate about fostering the holistic development of young children. I believe in creating a nurturing environment that supports their emotional, social, and educational growth.
In my philosophy, I recognize that learning is a continuous process that occurs in all aspects of a child's life. It is interwoven through physical, social/emotional, cognitive, and communication domains. My goal as an educator is to ensure that this ongoing learning experience is safe, positive, and enjoyable for every child in my care.
I strive to guide children through their developmental stages with confidence in themselves and a genuine excitement for learning. I believe that children thrive when they feel loved, cared for, and supported. Building a foundation of trust and security is fundamental in establishing meaningful relationships with each child.
In my teaching practice, I incorporate developmentally appropriate activities and provide opportunities for exploration, creativity, and critical thinking. I value the uniqueness of each child and tailor my approach to meet their individual needs and interests.
I view education as a collaborative effort involving children, families, and the community. I actively involve parents and caregivers in their child's learning journey, recognizing the importance of a strong partnership in supporting children's growth and development.
My philosophy centers around creating a positive and stimulating educational environment where children feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. Through love, care, and engaging experiences, I aim to inspire a lifelong love for learning and contribute to the overall well-being and success of each child.
